Welcome to our website!  Please look at this site as only a snapshot of who we are and what we do.  We hope you will come and be with us as we worship and work as God’s children. We are a congregation that loves each other.  We visit and take care of each other.

We are a congregation that embraces local mission and international mission as a way to live the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We try to make worship a meaningful experience so that the lesson you take away will help you live a life more faithful to the way God calls us to live.

We have opportunities for all ages to learn about God’s word-including a wonderful preschool program.

We also love to have fun together.

Take some time to look at our site and allow yourself to hear if God is calling you to us.  If so, we hope that you will come and worship with us.  Worship is just the starting point for what your life can be with us.  I wish you God’s blessings as you learn what God’s plans are for you.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED what the words like HANOVER, TRURO, HYFRYDOL mean in the hymnal?  They are the names of the tunes for the hymns.  Why does a tune need a separate name?  Because sometimes the tune of a hymn can be swapped out with another tune that fits the same number of syllables and lines.  That is the purpose of the numbers like “8.7.8.7.”  Each number separated by periods represents the number of syllables in a particular line of the hymn.  8.7.8.7 means there are four lines to the hymn with eight syllables in line one, 7 syllables in line two, 8 syllables in line three, and 7 syllables in line four.  If the congregation doesn’t know a particular tune but the words are appropriate to the message for a given Sunday those numbers provide for the option of using a tune with the same numbers that is more familiar to congregation.  These numbers are called the “meter” of the hymn.  There is a metrical index on page 1003 of the hymnal.
